Nineteenth Annual Wine and Beer Tasting scheduled at Genesis

Wine and Beer Taste Scheduled for September 7, 2018

The committee behind Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center’s popular Wine and Beer Tasting has been hard at work readying the venue and its efforts have been noticed. “It is delightful to witness the creative energy and enthusiasm of our dedicated committee volunteers,” said Liz Walz, the Center’s executive director. “Their love for Genesis and their passion for this event, established by Genesis Founder Sister Elizabeth Oleksak, is contagious.”

Bryarly Lehmann, Val Liptak and Faith Sullivan are co-chairing the 6-8:30 p.m. event scheduled for Friday, September 7, 2018. Beverages and delicious hors d’oeuvres will be served in and behind the Center’s Carriage House where guests can enjoy the music of the Eric Bascom Trio, and the atmosphere of the Providence Arboretum.

Wine and Beer Taste set for September 7, 2018

The Committee behind the co-chairs’ efforts are Sister Julie Crane, Bonnie Druschel, Peg Gilbert, Brant Lingle, Jean Risk, and Deacon William Toller.

Committee responsibilities include securing event sponsors, advertising, scheduling entertainment, requesting donations of hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and gathering silent auction and raffle prizes. The Committee also coordinates all the evening’s logistics from ticket collecting to food and beverage services and managing the parking.

Funds raised support Genesis’ development of new programs like the Kinship Reflection Group for family members and friends impacted by addiction, and the nine-month Genesis School for Contemplative Living planned to begin in September.

The $40 per person tickets are available by calling Genesis at (413) 562-3627.
